Entire width of TARMAC path BLOCKED

Reported in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 14:42, Thu 8 June 2017

Sent to Hampshire County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1050647.

Both sides of the a337 milford road it is unsafe to walk as between efford farmhouse SO41 0JD & Efford TIP on milford road the paths are covered in TALL vegetation. I use a crutch & crutch caught in the tall vegetation on the suposed tarmac path way, sadly entire length of path is blocked. Cant see the tarmac path. So much for council maintaining paths for all. Im disabled & now house bound until this is fixed! Thanks! Please restore the FULL WIDTH of the tarmack paths & cut down hedges that obscure vision onto milford road when crossing south to north to efford park on foot as pedestrians CANNOT see cars as council verges so ovegrown that vision obstructed in same area pedestrian died!

Council please cut the verges & hedges ive asked many times over the years & eachtime no proactive policy put in place. please dont wait before someone is hurt either crossing the road due to road vision partially blocked by hedges or people like me tripping over long grass on a path council supposedly maintains. Please RESTORE the full tarmac width paths access both sides of the road from EFFORD tip to EVERTON border.

  • Path slippery as leaves & pine needles still not swept up despite asking for months. I almost slipped on it (22 DEC 2017). The public footpath is now so narrow that pedestrians have to walk almost on the roadside curbstones & so close to fast moving traffic. This is a health & safety nightmare waiting to happen
