Cars parking on/across corners
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 14:36, Wed 7 June 2017
Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council 4 minutes later
This corner is constantly cluttered with parked cars on and across the corners. The 371, 65 and K5 buses turn around this corner, on occasions with great difficulty. Cars frequently meet buses head on at the corner, or have to back up to let the bus turn the corner. Cars also drive straight across this junction towards Burnell Ave., without giving way or checking the road is clear. There is going to be a very serious accident at this junction unless yellow lines are painted around both of the corners to prevent parking. This would allow safe viewing for both buses and cars and hopefully prevent an accident waiting to happen. This has been getting much worse over the last year especially as 3 buses now turn around here.

The situation of parking across the corners of the road has not changed. Still as bad as ever. People also parking across the dropped kerbs for use by disabled people and for people with prams, and now also across dropped kerbs outside homes where access is required for vehicles. Complete disregard for anyone.

Drivers totally disregard the dropped kerbs outside houses. When I took my driving test I understood you respected people's access. This it appears no longer applies! Many residents in this area have complained about vehicles parking across their access for several days, and on repeated occasions. No one seems to be interested, this is just too bad.

Richmond Council appear to have no interest what so ever in the parking problems. They have reduced the road sweeping to Nil unless a complaint is made, in which case they say they will inspect and decide if it is necessary! Then do nothing! Floods next as all the rubbish, leaves and dirt gets washed into the drains during heavy rain blocking the drains.
