Large ammounts of litter on slipway embankments
Reported in the Street cleaning category anonymously at 09:00, Fri 19 March 2010
Sent to North West Leicestershire District Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 104175.
There is a significant ammount of litter all the way up the slip road from the M1 northbound to the service station traffic island. It really does look like a landfill without the sea birds! Can someone be assigned to tidy up this area?

After not hearing anything for several weeks and the litter still being there. I decided to report this to the Highways agency. They have said this is thier responsibility and have passed it to a specialist team for action within 15 days

This is still as bad, however the grass has now started to grow over the problem so it dosn't look so bad. I have spoken to the highways agency who have raised a job for thier contractor but as yet they have not made a visit. The other problem is that this road is dual responsibilty and North West Leicestershire district council don't want to know!

No change, Highways agency and NW Leic council cant be bothered to clear up this mess. At least the vegetation has grown to mask the problem!
