Dangerous Play Equipment
Reported in the Grass Cutting category anonymously at 20:52, Mon 22 May 2017
Sent to West Berkshire Council 3 minutes later
The equipment is in dire need of maintenance. The spinning bottom ring is exposed and acts like a guillotine raising and falling. The welding on the bottom ring is broken and the gap is large enough for a child to get their finger in. It makes a loud cranking noise, which then judders as if the top is going to fall off.
The mat underneath is worn through and a trip hazard.
This has been reported to the Stratfield Mortimer Parish Council a year ago.
The equipment has been covered in warning stickers, but still, hasn't been fixed.

The equipment was initially taped up, but no repairs have happened over the whole of the Summer. Children are now back playing on it, as the tape has fallen off.

All broken equipment is still unfixed and matting a trip hazard.
