Degraded road surface, unsafe for pedestrians.

Reported in the Roads/highways category by Barry Jubb at 13:50, Sun 14 May 2017

Sent to Bolton Borough Council 5 minutes later

The road surface of Ainsworth Ave at the junction with Chorley New Road is badly degraded. This was highlighted to me, when an elderly lady that was crossing the junction at the same time has me, stumbled. If I had not been there, she would have fallen full length and injured herself badly. The surface is badly degraded and very unsafe for pedestrians crossing this busy junction.

  • No matter how much good work Fix my Street does, you cannot make all councils do your bidding all of the time. The work on this junction as not been done and when I crossed it again last night, I commented, this time to my wife, how bad the suface of the road was for pedestrians crossing. What will it take to get this junction made safe for pedestrians, especially when one Bolton MBC councillor uses this junction many times a day, albeit in a vehicle.
