Dangerous pavement

Reported via iOS in the Pavements/footpaths category by Dave Fisher at 11:33, Mon 15 May 2017

Sent to Essex County Council 3 minutes later

This stretch of pavement is in a very poor state of repair, there are many deep potholes and it's very narrow. Chaple Road is a bus route, and at the it's a blind bent and single lane. The buses come very close to the pavement making walking along this section hazardous and harrowing. It is long overdue for repair.

  • After the recent bad weather this section of pavement has got much worse. It’s safer to walk in the road than on the pavement, especially of a visually impaired person like me.

  • It will take a serious accident to wake up ECC before this pavement is repaired.

This is just one example of the lack of maintenance the tax payers pay for that never gets seen to.

  • First reported over a year ago, and several times since then, just goes to show that the quality of the pavements and the safety of the people is of no concern to ECC.
