  • Dear Council, This broken manhole/utilities cover is still an issue. Barriers have surrounded it for several months and are often moved causing a danger from the hole and an obstruction on the footpath. This should have been sorted months ago.

  • The broken utilities cover has been protected by barriers for many months. These barriers have been removed but the work has not been completed, let alone started.

  • I live on Eastfield Road and come across this broken cover every time go to the end of my road. It is still a problem. The barrier has been totally removed now and the cover continues to deteriorate. It is a danger to the public, particularly children, the elderly and the visually impaired. It would be quite easy for someone to injure themselves, break a leg even. The cover has been an outstanding issue for the best part of six months. The cover can simply be replaced - it is not a big or lengthy job at all. It is clear that the council has known about this for some time as barriers appeared months ago.

  • This issue is dangerous to path users, my children regularly scoot past this hole on the way to school and should they catch a wheel are likely to hurt themselves. Pushchairs, walking sticks and crutches are also in danger of being caught and causing an accident. Please fix this as soon as possible.
