Abandoned car.
Reported in the Abandoned vehicles category anonymously at 15:24, Sun 23 April 2017
Sent to Shropshire Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 1026348.
This car has been here for at least 3 years, possibly longer. You can confirm it was there in 2015 by checking google maps street view. The car is in desrepair and is basically rotting.
This is also taking up resident parking.

Response from Shropshire council:
"Many thanks for your contact via our Customer Services Centre regarding a vehicle on a car park at Barton Close, which is an area classed as private land. These spaces are privately owned and are deeded to individual properties and the Council has no powers over this type of land. The owner of this car parking space has powers and it is within their rights to have this vehicle removed. Unfortunately the Council do not normally remove vehicles from private land as the costs to the Council are legally prescribed and would become too costly - in these cases our statutory duty does not apply when the associated costs are unreasonably high as per Section 3(3) of the Refuse Disposal (amenity) Act. The Police will only remove vehicles if they consider them to be causing an obstruction or a danger to the general public, but sometimes will assist further. Again the DVLA are reluctant to assist as they are on privately owned land. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you require further information, apologies that I cannot assist further on this occasion."
