The section of the road has been getting worse by the day.. there has been some repair to a small section of the road - this was filled with tarmac- but now the crack and drop has worsened.. At the deepest drop point it is about 3 inches visible, but you can put a stick in the hole up to about 8 inches. I have concerns that someone will get seriously hurt because of the speed cars and bikes travel up the street- using it as a rat run avoiding Leinster Avenue.

As previously reported, the crack in the road has become increasingly dangerous to vehicles, cyclist, pedestrians and home owners. Hopefully, you can see that the holes are up to 7 inches in places. The crack itself stretches about 10 foot in length and is the whole width of the road. As St Whytes Rd is now used as a rat run since road improvements in Lienster Avenue, vehicles race up and down, at speeds greater than 20mph. I have growing concerns as the damaged part is not actually outside my house but the whole of my house trembles and I worry about damage to my foundations. Will you be willing to pay my insurance should it affect my house? Also, there is a crack on my neighbours side of the chimney, (Mrs S Goddard 21 St Whytes Rd) which was reported to Bristol City Council last year and nothing has been done. Mrs Goddard has given me permission to mention this as the damaged road is outside her home. This also seems to be getting worse and I believe it has something to do with the damaged road.

The problem has NOT been fixed. Someone has been out and marked the damaged area with white paint, but the road hasn't been repaired yet
