Tarmac washed out around grid as not emptied and water flowing down road all winter.

Sent to Lancashire County Council 1 minute later

Last year council did a great job draining the road with a new grid. It soon filled up with water and was not emptied. It has overflowed all winter. Now tarmac is washed out around the grid in chunks.making a bigger dangerous hole each day. Vehicles are driving through it....springs tyres ???

  • The washed out tarmac has been replaced which is good. However the water continues to run down and the drain is still full, not emptied so the water does not go down it, and will wash the tarmac out again when there is continuous heavy rain. The drain needs emptying to solve the problem.

  • As stated the problem was half fixed. The grate is still totally filled with stuff, so when it rains copious amounts of water run OVER it and collect in the road dip, when the other grate becomes blocked by stuff also. I clear this whenever I pass. Eventually the new tarmac will wash out again.
