Lorries loading/unloading
Reported in the Car parking category anonymously at 08:57, Thu 23 March 2017
Sent to Spelthorne Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1008359.
Despite signage prohibiting lorries loading and unloading in the high street between 7-10a.m. the problem persists. In particular, a Bookers delivery lorry continues to deliver to the Londis supermarket during the morning rush hour and restricted hours, causing huge traffic delays back to Clockhouse Lane. If traffic wardens are not going to enforce the restrictions, why was taxpayers' money wasted on the signs ?

When oh when is the council going to enforce the no loading signs at this location. At least 3x a week there is a lorry on the main road between 7-10am unloading to the shops. Today the resulting queue was back to the Kings Head roundabout. I reported this problem in March but still it persists and causes traffic jams in the high street.

Delivery vehicles continue to willfully obstruct Church Rd in Ashford during prohibited times (7-10am). This morning, in addition to causing congestion a delivery lorry was party to a collision involving another vehicle. When is something going to be done to stop lorries willfully obstruction this busy road ?
