Trespassing and risk of fire

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to raise an urgent concern regarding the vacant scout house at old Kent road. Over the last few days, I have noticed that the door to the property has been left open and unsecured, allowing people to gain access and trespass. There also appears to be increasing fly-tipping and waste being deposited both within and around the property. I am particularly concerned that the unsecured building could be subject to further antisocial behaviour or potentially be deliberately set on fire. Given the surrounding woodland and vegetation, a fire could have serious consequences for the local environment as well as nearby properties and residents. I would therefore urge the Council to take immediate action to secure the property, prevent further unauthorised access, remove the accumulated waste and debris both inside and outside the property, and ensure that adequate fencing or other security measures are installed to prevent further trespassing and fly-tipping. I hope you will understand my deep concern regarding the current condition of the site and the potential safety and environmental risks if it remains unsecured. I would appreciate confirmation of what action the Council intends to take and look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Jérémy Bonneville
