Over Sized Vechiles

Reported anonymously at 17:46, Thu 4 March 2010

Sent to Redbridge Borough Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 100563.

Due to the recent disgraceful placement of the Tesco Metro on Wanstead High Street, many large vans to supply the supermarket have been sighted parking within the bus stations and more importantly, upon the pavements outside other shops. This is really a hazard to the public and unfair to buses who cannot get to the stops to let even more of the public out. Please let something be done.

Updates

  • Whilst parked (legally) outside Boots early on a Saturday morning, a Tesco lorry reversed into our car. The driver did not realise and attempted to drive away. Luckily a witness stopped him and we got his details. Tesco had to pay for the repairs to our car. This Tesco is not suitable for our High Street and lorries of that size certainly are not suitable.
