Subject: Urgent Safety Hazard - Missing Chevron Markings & Signage on Chestnut Avenue Traffic IslandLocation: Chestnut Avenue (near the thatched cottage split)Description of Hazard:I am writing to report a severe, life-threatening road safety hazard on Chestnut Avenue. The physical traffic island splitting the road entirely lacks standard defensive approach markings. There are no painted white hatched chevron markings on the road surface leading up to the island to guide drivers safely into the lane split. Furthermore, the nose of the island lacks highly visible, reflective vertical chevron boards. Because of this lack of visual warning, I have personally experienced two severe near-misses where I nearly collided directly with the un-marked concrete island.A collision here could cause serious vehicle damage or severe injury. Given the high risk of a collision, this location requires urgent engineering intervention. Please treat this as a high-priority safety defect to install standard reflective chevrons and road hatching before a major accident occurs. I have attached screenshots of the exact location showing the complete lack of safety markings

Hi, I noticed the status was changed from 'In progress' back to 'Open'. Could the council please provide a quick update on whether an inspection has taken place, and if there is a rough timeline for installing the chevron markings and signage on this traffic island? Thank you.
