Tree Encroaching on Street Light and Utility Wires

Reported via desktop in the Tree Requires Pruning category anonymously at 14:55, Thursday 3 September 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10044928.

I am reporting a mature tree adjacent to the residential hedge and public footway that is causing two main obstructions it has not been pruned all year and huge branches are constantly breaking off: Streetlight Obstruction: The tree canopy has overgrown and enveloped a street lighting column, significantly blocking light output onto the pavement and roadway. Utility Cable Encroachment: Tree branches are growing directly into and pressing against overhead utility wires, creating a risk of damage or service disruption during high winds. Location Details: Adjacent to the property hedge near the public footway. Requested Action: Please inspect the tree and arrange urgent crown reduction and pruning to restore full street lighting functionality and safely clear the overhead utility lines.
