50% of the road surface failed. Huge Ruts present in Road

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10041934.
This has been reported multiple times over the last 5 years and the solution from the responsible party seems to be to fix 1% of the rut at a time which I think we can agree is no solution at all. This road ahs been extremely hazardous to cyclists for around 5 years and nothing has been done about it. You are obviously aware its dangerous as you have placed some bumpy road signs on the road. That doesn't exactly help cyclist that are left to choose from a thin strip of broken up tarmac to the left of the rut next to an overgrown verge, or risk going head to head with oncoming traffic by riding to the right of the rut. This isnt a low traffic road anymore. Its the standard route to bypass the 18 months of roadworks on the A420. I dont care if it doesn't meet intervention levels for cars, its deadly to cyclists how you currently have left it and anyone with a passing awareness of road safety and what its like to cycle on a main road would see that immediately. I suspect you will confirm to tax payers you don't care about cyclists safety by closing this again with an insulting auto response in 6 months time.

Ruts run for about 200 metres downhill so water runs down making them constantly deeper. It’s unfathomable how this is considered a safe and acceptable road surface and has been for over 5 years. What will it take for you to take action.
