Rats caused by inadequate bins on Botanic Road. At least 5 bins missing lids, 56 with holes big enough for a rat to enter.
Reported via iOS in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category by James Biggs at 09:26, Tuesday 1 September 2026
Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10030388.
I've spoke to many residents who say they've tried to get the council to do something without success. Some try to mend the holes in their bins (see photo). These bins cause a huge amount of litter, a lot of which no doubt adds to the litter in Botanic Park.

Hello,
We are not customers, we are residents being over-run by rats. I read in your weekly council newsletter a fortnight ago how you were trialling a scheme to tackle the city's rodent problem. I was hoping 56 rat-eaten bins on one street would draw more of a problem-solving response than to repeat what it says on your website.
Under what circumstances do the council replace bins free of charge?
Cheers James Biggs
