Parking on pavement and on junction

Reported via mobile in the Parking on a footpath category anonymously at 11:29, Monday 31 August 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Buckinghamshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10026783.

A large van, plus a car, were parked on the pavement and right on the junction with Prestwood High Street. Although a gap had been left, it would not be wide enough for a larger push chair, wheel chair or mobility scooter. Visibility was seriously compromised for drivers turning out of Salmons Lane and it also means a car pulling out and one pulling in cannot pass. This is also at the point in which the High Street bends which makes good visibility even more important. This is an ongoing problem. Other roads that join the High Street have double yellow lines on the junction so why not Salmons Lane?

Updates

  • This has been passed to the Parking Services Team.

Subject to available resources, a civil enforcement officer (traffic warden) will go and assess, and if a vehicle is parked in contravention of a parking restriction, a penalty charge notice may be issued.
