Inconsiderate parking

Reported via iOS in the Car parking category anonymously at 21:04, Thursday 27 August 2026

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 10014403.

Resident only parking or at least parking bays clearly marked out would help to solve this problem I feel? Residents at the flats nearby tend to park outside our flats instead of their own. The postal workers at the sorting office at Ireland wood also park here during the day which can get quite congested during busy times of the day eg when the school opposite finishes for the day . We have mentioned this also to our local MP.

Updates

  • The big van is parked at Lenhurst Avenue on a blind spot and it’s very dangerous because vehicles coming out of Ancestor Close can’t see the road clearly. I leave in Ancestor close Leeds and this large van is obstructing the road. This might cause an accident if it’s not removed. I know the driver of the van. Please need help to deal with the situation. Thank you

  • We feel that marked parking bays would solve this problem. People leave too much space between their cars which limits how many residents cars can park outside their properties. Other than that , a resident only parking area may be another solution ?
