Parked cars causing hazard on Longford Park Road

Reported anonymously at 20:06, Tue 3 May 2016

Too many cars are unnecessarily parking on the pavements causing a blind spot for cars leaving Linnet Road joining onto Longford Park road. These cars belong to the corner house on Linnet Road, number 2 I believe, and the terrace houses on the left hand side of Longford Park road just before the turning for Robin Way. They are also causing an issue for cars travelling along Longford park road exiting the estate as the turning for Linnet Road is hidden. On too many occasions, cars are having to emergency stop to allow for blocked vision. Also, there are serious concerns for emergency vehicle access as well as limited pavement space for buggies and disabled persons. These cars have their own private parking around the back of their property which is not being utilised. I fear that such laziness is going to cause a serious accident sooner rather than later. Surely these vehicle owners would rather park their car in the space they have knowingly purchased rather live with the guilt of a potential fatal incident. The owners of these cars knew they were purchasing a plot with private off road parking.
