Non residents parking

Reported anonymously at 21:12, Thu 24 October 2013

For some time now the bus that takes the students to the Oxford School Of Drama picks up along Banbury Road. This in turn results in the students parking along Banbury Road causing a dangerous obstruction, crossing the road with our baby has become increasingly difficult with vehicles speeding to get round the parked vehicles. I have had a number of conversations with the college who are unwilling to move the pick up point ( i suggested the library ) and have said they tell the students to park in the public car park and that they can do no more and feel its not a problem. This situation however is a huge problem for the residents of this street. Safety is compromised for the young, elderly and pets of the street and also a inconvenience to all residents during the drama schools term time of having to cue to gain access to our properties and the difficulties of pulling in and out of our drives. Can the council please speak to the Oxford School Of Drama and encourage them to move there dangerous pick up point or can we have some kind of parking restrictions if local residents were to agree, which I am sure they would.
