Thus junction is dangerous. Many near-misses .

Reported by Iain Jack at 09:56, Wednesday 13 April 2022

The Windinghouse Lane traffic lights are dangerous for two reasons : 1. When the lights go green, often traffic is still emerging from Hen Lane. This happens so regularly that they can’t all be jumping the lights. 2. The first vehicle in traffic waiting at the red light in the left hand lane of Windinghouse Lane cannot see their light as there is no repeater in front of the stop line. Several times we have seen that vehicle set off when the roundabout signal ahead gives green, as part of the sequence to allow Hen Lane traffic out onto the roundabout. This brings them into conflict with the vehicle which has accidentally started of from Windinghiose Lane. I hope this makes sense. Please send someone out to observe and fix. Kind regards Iain Jack
