Rubbish in the entrance to the Rickmansworth Road carpark

Reported anonymously at 14:10, Wednesday 28 July 2021

The grubby former bin used by the Council to advertise local markets plus the too-small Oxfam bin, intended only for books, combine to suggest that this is a general recycling point for any rubbish. The Oxfam bin is itself virtually always overfull and in any case is quite unnecessary given the number of charity shops only yards away in Sycamore Road. As the photo shows, clothes have been left along with old carpet, which should certainly have been taken to the dump. But the problem is not just the current mess, but the implication of general recycling availability for anything. The two bins together constitute an eyesore.
