Cars parked on either side of the road- can’t see other vehicles/’s a danger for everybody

Reported anonymously at 11:22, Tuesday 20 July 2021

Since I have lived in my street, Micklegate , which has been 18 years, there has been incredibly dangerous parking along aldersgate road , leading to Hitchens, baxter, petersgate and micklegate is constantly backed up with cars dangerously parked. It’s got to the point cars are actually parking on the grass verge. You can’t see oncoming vehicles , children or animals. There have been so many near-accidents and it’s becoming scarier than ever now. Each close has its own carpark , so they do have somewhere to park, they just choose not to. There are always children along the road and I’ve watched them nearly get hit before now. I think double yellows would be a great step for the safety of everybody. Thank you so much for reading.
