Unsafe crack in road surface junction 5-7 Both directions

Reported anonymously at 17:41, Saturday 19 June 2021

The road surface between junctions 5 to 7 (both East bound and west bound) of the M27 is of a different type in sections. During the road works the joins between the sections weave back and forth across the temporary lanes. Some of these joins (particularly in the slow lane) are no longer joined together and have become significant cracks which trap tyres and cause cars to pull and get stuck in the crack and whip the car sideways towards the barriers or middle lane. It's become very dangerous even at 50mph to use that slow lane and to avoid the worst crack drivers are being forced to drive either dangerously close to the barrier or spanning 2 of the temporary lanes. I think this could cause a nasty accident when a driver could be stuck in the crack and pulled either into the barrier or another car. It's like driving on a train track and which is weaving around the road .
