Confused cycle/pedestrian right of way

Reported by Trish Elphinstone at 15:30, Monday 12 April 2021

The cycle signs on Windmill Road are misleading. Cycles and scooters riding the pavement where they should not. Clearly unsafe for pedestrians and obstructive for traffic Residents report that they endured disruption when the cycle lanes were installed yet these signs suggest cycling on the pavement is okay. Please be assured cyclists are only too keen to be on the pavement and not the road! What do these signs mean and why is it not made clear where there are cycle lanes bikes and now the electric scooters should be on the road and not running down pedestrians? Especially with children going to the school nearby. Residents opposite the NOC have enormous problems getting into and out of their driveways. All these houses predate the new entry exit that was put in when the hospital was redeveloped. Buses cannot negotiate the hospital exit without crossing to the other side of the road What can be done to improve the road safety situation and help the residents whose interests have been ignored?
