Footpath surface is thick mud after wet weather

Reported anonymously at 21:26, Mon 21 December 2020

This path is a popular route between the GEC rec and Whinfield woods but several stetches become too muddy whenever there is very wet weather. As the path is hemmed in by fences on both sides (allotments and Hart Field) it isnt possible to walk around the mud. Some bricks have been put in ad hoc as stepping stones but this doesnt really solve the issue and creates a trip hazard at other times. Please could this be repaired.
