Trees encroaching on path and in the way of large vehicles

Reported anonymously at 10:01, Tue 17 November 2020

Along the south side of Marsh Lane opposite the Beefeater, there are various trees overhanging the footpath, forcing pedestrians into the road to get past. The tree causing this seems to have fallen over completely. This is obviously dangerous and needs rectifying quickly. There is also a large amount of plant matter that has formed around the path and the side of the road, presenting danger for both pedestrians and vehicles. The other hazard is the trees overhanging into the road where the road meets Viaduct Road at the mini roundabout. Large vehicles turning left especially are likely to hit these trees, which could cause damage to vehicle, and present a large risk to any pedestrians nearby that could be struck by falling debris. This has been an issue for a few months now, and will only get worse as temperatures drop and the road gets more slippery.
