Cars parking on grass verge when there are plenty of spaces to park on the highway within one minutes walk of the properties

Reported anonymously at 22:54, Tue 7 April 2020

The sight of cars parking on grass verges is encouraging others to follow suit creating some serious damage to the turf and standard trees planted to improve the appearance of the area. There is plenty of parking spaces available within one minutes walk of the properties so absolutely no excuse to detract from the appearance of the neighbourhood. Also I have witnessed children trying to cross the road where these cars are obstructing the visibility for pedestrians wishing to cross the road. This is a growing problem and needs to be resolved with a TRO to prevent parking on the verge or by the placing of dragons teeth on the verge to prevent parking or alternatively a double yellow line on the side of the verge with enforcement through the issuing of FPNs to offending vehicles when observed by patrols. Those causing damage to the verges should be charged for the cost of repair including replacement turf. Trade vehicles should also not be allowed to park at these locations.
