Large depressions in road.

Reported anonymously at 15:42, Monday 13 January 2020

Large depressions in road. I note that these have been reported more than once over a period of months but no action has yet been taken. The depressions are widening, lengthening and getting deeper each day indicative of a failure at sub-grade level rather than just in the upper bound pavement layers. The depressions are now of such a depth that they do constitute a serious hazard to all road users, not just in terms of damage to vehicles but the potential to cause personal injury, and need to be addressed as a matter of urgency. There are also a couple of small potholes in the vicinity of the Downend Road junction where the surface course has broken away which will need to be patched soon to prevent water ingress and consequent further deterioration.
