74-86 London end, Beaconsfield

Reported by Arnauld Desandere at 09:25, Wed 23 October 2019

I am outraged by the decision to enforce the prohibition of waiting or parking at any time (the 'double yellow lines' policy) alongside 86-84 London end. I have lived at 80 London end for over 12 years and there has never been a problem with cars parked outside 86-84 London end, in fact I often wondered why these lines were there in the first place. Cars parked along those lines are not a hindrance for larger vehicles such as ambulances or fire brigade trucks. We are now set to lose 6 parking spaces out of 12, making our lives an absolute nightmare as we do not have residential parking. I approached Dominic Grieve on the issue of residential parking but he explained the issue of 'Common land' and said nothing could be done. In 2018, we lost parking spaces across the way (on Crossways) as well as Lakes Lanes. Residents of the cottages 76-86 London end have 10 vehicles between them (one resident is disabled), not to mention the many people shopping on London end, visiting pubs & the Blanc Brasserie or working there (mechanics at the Dunlop garage especially: 4 of them park there every morning!). If you plan to support that enforcement, you must look again at granting us residential parking but I suspect you will give me the same answer Dominic Grieve gave me so I strongly advise removing those yellow lines altogether. Yours, A. Desandere, 80 London end
