Severe cracking in road surface

Reported by Adrian Claxton at 09:56, Thu 26 September 2019

The deterioration of the road surface along Pimple Lane has become severe. There are cracks over 4" (100mm) wide in some areas. The road has suffered from severe upheaval resulting in severe overcrowning in places. In places the edge of the tarmac is 5" (125mm) above the verge. On a single track road this can cause damage through contact with lower suspension components. This road is sign posted as part of the national cycle route. This surface condition presents a serious risk to cyclist. I would recommend that the entire length of this road is assessed with the utmost urgency and steps taken to rectify the issues.
