Lots of nitrous oxide canisters on the side of the road. Possibly thrown from a car?

Reported anonymously at 14:19, Mon 16 September 2019

There are a large amount of canisters on the left hand the side of the road just after the Graven Hill roundabout heading towards Tesco. It looks like they may have been thrown from a car as it is an unusually large amount in one place and there is no pathway there. I am concerned that they might not be empty ones and someone has ditched them to avoid getting caught? Noticed at 2pm today.
