5 trees chopped down along Stoney Stanton pavement

Reported anonymously at 13:09, Thu 1 August 2019

Why have the birch and orange berry trees along Stoney Stanton Road, specifically outside Hanford Close building estate/opposite the Doctor's Surgery all been chopped down? There were around 5 that have just been chopped down - probably during nesting season, not that birds matter, clearly. Not to mention the poor air quality in Foleshill, unless of course that is the purpose of chopping these trees down?! We have less and less trees lining Stoney Stanton Road. Previous to this the lovely bushes and shrubs which were a habitat for so many creatures were removed and pointless useless gravel and idiotic signs informing people to keep off the gravel put in their place. How is this serving anyone?! These poor trees that have been chopped need replacing and more need planting! Do you guys not know about the massive climate disaster we are currently facing as a result of idiotic practices including chopping down trees! Business and money is not going to do anything for us when all of the trees and nature has been eradicated. Birch trees do not live for long anyway and speak to anyone who actually cares about conservation and they will amaze you with all of the benefits of birch to our world. Shame on you Coventry City Council for allowing this, enforcing this and for not doing anything to stop it! Be a part of the solution not the problem!!!
