Cycle Lane leading to highway - Dangerous situation

Reported anonymously at 10:06, Thursday 14 March 2019

The cycle lane outside WRC Frankland Road, Blagrove, leads onto roundabout on a public highway. When using the cycle lane, cyclists do not go around the roundabout, instead they cut across it and in front of oncoming cars. It is only a matter of time before someone is seriously injured. We understand this situation has been reported on numerous occasions and yet still, nothing has been done. Recommend signage informing cyclists that normal highway rules apply and that they should go around the roundabout rather than straight across it in the path of oncoming vehicles. Additionally Frankland Road is used by heavy goods vehicles. The vehicles park on the road making visibility difficult and narrowing the road.
