Large POT Hole

Reported by David White at 18:47, Wednesday 27 February 2019

Hi I have sent an email to the local council (TestValley) to advise them of the damage this pothole caused to my car on the evening that I was forced to take a diversion from my normal route home due to Walworth Road being closed because of the Fire at the Acado Warehouse. They have not replied and Acado are saying it is not their issue. My wheel has been temporally repared by welding at a cost of £100 and tyre is still an issue as it has a tear in the wall from the incident. On closer inspection Mercedes Benz Sandown at Basingstoke have given me an estimate of £662 to replace the Alloy Wheel, Tyre and balancing. Can you please look into this as a matter of urgency. As you can see from the pictures attached the Pothole has been reported and plan has been put in place to repair the road. However driving down this road on the evening that the Acado fire took place, it was pitch black and NO SIGNS making drivers aware of the hole were in place to make the driver aware of this hole. Kind regards David White Mobile 07860 530925 email:
