Ealing Council - Misdirected Correspondence

Reported by Nick Roberts at 13:22, Thursday 14 February 2019

14/02/2019 - Incorrectly addressed and mis-directed correspondence received from Ealing Council in respect of a fixed penalty notice for fly-tipping outside No 263a, Bilton Road, Perivale Ref: 250053670. The correspondence, which was handed to me by the postman, already opened, was addressed to Mr C. Ona, 7, Corbins Lane, South Harrow, HA2 8EN. I am the sole resident at this Corbins Lane address, and have been for the last 32 years. What's more the postcode used (HA2 8EN) is not the correct postcode for 7 Corbins Lane. Royal Mail Postcodes states that the following addresses in Corbins Lane have postcode HA2 8EN and have the number 7 in their address:- Flat 7, No 91 Corbins Lane, Nos 27, 37, 47, 57, 67, 71, 73, 75,77, 79 and 79A. I attempted to contact the author of the letter Mr Britton by telephone using the Percieval House direct dial and through the operator unsuccesfully. I anticipate that the next ice-age would have been upon us before the musak stopped and I got though. Hence this post on F-M-S , copied to the CEO Ealing Council. For future reference my charging-out rate for spending my time correcting your apparent cock-ups is £50 an hour. My time is valuable, even if yours isn't.
