Construction filth from new estate east of Monahan Way

Reported anonymously at 12:03, Saturday 26 January 2019

Poor management of construction works resulting in significant filth on road, footpaths around the Bluebell Way/Monahan Way junction. Contractor makes little or no effort to clean up, very poor standard of site management. Additionally, repeated roadworks and general construction activity regularly commences with no warning to residents. These issues have been prevalent since construction first commenced but is getting increasingly worse as groundworks along Monahan Way have increased. I recommend a building inspector (or person appointed as the contract manager) visits the area periodically and instructs the contractor to behave appropriately (i.e. clean up after each shift, letter drop to residents etc). I recommend that 'Flynn' are encouraged to review the requirements of the "Considerate COntractor" scheme to better understand how to manage a worksite without upsetting road users and local residents. (I have been managing construction sites for 13 years and am aware of the standards the indsutry is capable fo working to).
