Drivers using this road as a rat run, driving at dangerous speeds.

Reported anonymously at 17:28, Mon 29 October 2018

With the growing numbers of house holds having more than one car our streets are becoming more busy for parking. Add a way of avoiding traffic on Waterhouse lane and you have a dangerous mixture. I've lived in my rented house for almost 4 years now. During that time I have had two cars hit by drivers that then flee the scene. The speeds drivers navigate this back road at is shocking. It is a 30mph road but I would imagine the majority of people are breaking that an not by a small amount. I have been in contact about this to my local mp but nothing to my knowledge has been done to try to resolve this. Personally I think making the road a one way road would stop the chances of a head on collision. But could encourage people to retain the speeds. I ask that a speed survey is undertaken to get an idea of how bad this issue is.
