Parking and trader roadside signs in Goring Road, Woodcote.

Reported anonymously at 13:38, Mon 18 June 2018

The Fish and Chip shop on Goring Road has 2 x mobile advertising signs which it places on the Goring Road verge during opening hours. This is not only a distraction to road users (i.e. a safety concern) but it encourages their customers to park on either side of the Goring Road, which is a bus route. The problem has got worse under the new management, mostly the vehicles only staying for up to 5 minutes or so, and on the odd occasion longer as they sit in their vehicles eating the fish and chips. Goring Road has a pavement on one side only, and when vehicles park on the pavement pedestrians can only pass by walking in the road. I would not describe the situation as excessive, but it does happen quite a number of times in any given week.
