Insufficient car parking at Marston Green Railway Station

Reported anonymously at 10:21, Thu 8 February 2018

Insufficient car parking at Marston Green Railway Station, crazy situation, commuters are encouraged to use public transport for journeys particularly into cities. But there is insufficient parking for commuters let alone anybody who wishes to travel to any of the stations during the off-peak. There is an area of scrub/woodland to the right of the current car park located on Elmdon Lane. Maybe this is a reason to look at whether this area would be suitable to be cleared - I am not in favour of losing 'green field', but in this instance it my be warranted. Said area could be used to increase the size of the car park, which is woefully inadequate for the number of cars that it needs to accommodate. Which currently park down Elmdon Lane, the numbers are increasing and the line always extends to the junction of Land Lane and a little beyond, but often to Canterbury Drive and beyond
