The area selected is not owned or maintained by Peterborough City Council; therefore, it is not the council’s responsibility to clear the waste from this land. However, the incident can be reported to the police by phone at 101 or on their website.
If you believe the fly-tipping is providing harbourage for pests such as rats or mice (mattresses, sofas, carpets, food waste), please report this to environmentalenforcementteam@peterborough.gov.uk.
If you are the landowner, when you arrange for disposal of the waste, make sure you use a registered waste carrier.
For graffiti on private land this would be deemed as criminal damage and would therefore need reporting to the Police, along with any evidence that may be available.
Please visit https://www.cambs.police.uk or call the non emergency number of 101.
Unfortunately, as this car is on private land, it is not the responsibility of the Council to remove an abandoned vehicle on this occasion.
If you wish to report this incident to the landowner, we advise seeking confirmation of ownership via the Land Registry through the following link: https://www.gov.uk/ government/ organisations/ land-registry. Additionally, details of some private roads with developers can be found here: https://www.peterborough.gov.uk/ council/ planning-and-development/ highway-control.
If the vehicle is causing an obstruction of the road or pavement, blocking a driveway, or posing a danger, the police may investigate and enforce. They can be contacted on 101, or you can complete their ASB form online to report the obstruction: https://www.cambs.police.uk/ ro/ report/ asb/ asb/ report-antisocial-behaviour/ .
Note: If you are the landowner and seek support to remove the vehicle, please email us at environmentalenforcementteam@peterborough.gov.uk.
Report other issues or make enquiries using our report it forms. Report emergencies by calling 01225 39 40 41 (option 9)
