The street lamp on the pavement between no's 15 and 16 Thriffwood has not been working for at least two weeks.It is extremely dark and unsafe.

Uneven surface, 25th October

Since parts of the pavement were recently dug up by one of the utility companies (BT?) the ashfelt has been poorly replaced in places. Outside number 21 Sunderland Road the pavement is particulary uneven - one resurfaced area is at least an inch lower than the rest, and is dangerous particulary after dark, as I know to my cost having stumbled and aggrevated a knee injury.

We notice that there is a correlation between buses and Heavy goods vehicles driving past our building that causes our building to shake. We have noticed cracks in the internal plaster of some of the flats.

Tree Damaged by Gas Utility Contractors, 28th April

Morrisons Utilities working on behalf of Scotia Gas Networks Chained a trailer mounted compressor unit around a young tree at the location attached. Subsequently 50-60% of bark has been stripped from the tree trunk when someone has attempted to move the compressor / trailer. The tree will probably now wilt and die.

Dangerously high Poplar tree at rear of property on Kilmorie Road. Covered in Ivy and about 90ft tall. Not stable.Some branches off in the wind and could come down on surrounding properties.

Problem with fence behind sunderland mount flats, 30th March

Dear Sirs, I am concerned about the fence behind Sunderland Mount flats on Sunderland Road, Perry Vale, SE23 which borders the gardens of the houses at the upper end of Trilby Road (I live at 60 Trilby Road SE23 2DN). There are two problems. Firstly young children from the flats (or their friends) have taken to climbing on the fence and dropping down into the narrow space between the fence and the fences at the back of the gardens of Trilby Road. The space between the fences is used literally as a rat run (and also by foxes and cats), it also contains a fair amount of rubbish. It is dangerous for the children to climb on the fence and dangerous when they try to climb back over it from the gap between the two fences. Behind my house the fence is broken and children squeeze through the broken panel to crawl behind my garden. The second problem also arises from the low height of the fence. Teenagers play football on the ground behind Sunderland Mount using the fence behind nos 60 and 62 Trilby Road as a goal (exactly where the council has fixed a sign saying no ball games). This damages the fence. It also damages our property when balls are kicked over the fence, two windows have been broken at the back of my house in the past couple of years, one from a football the other from a stone thrown by some children (both incidents were reported to the local police). MY own fence has been damaged by children climbing over it to get their balls back. It is unfair on the teenagers from the flats and the residents of Trilby Road that the potential for aggravation should exist because of a fence. May I suggest a solution? The fence should be raised in height by a couple of feet. This should prevent the danger to younger children from climbing on it and should reduce the number of footballs (or other missiles)that fly into the gardens of the Trilby Road houses. Whether or not an alternative site can be found for football games is a question for the council but if games are to continue behind Sunderland Mount I think other local residents should be afforded some protection . I should emphasise that the various children/teenagers from the flats are in the main well behaved and respond when asked to get down from the fence, but the temptation for adventure is usually too strong to resist. I should be happy to discuss this issue with whoever is the responsible official.

Guilty tree is outside no 15 pearfield road which needs to be trimmed from its over grown branches down by its base.its causing residents cars scratches and making it difficult to park near by.

Tree mismanagement, 4th February

A large Sycamore tree, situated to the front of council property at 24 Sunderland Road, continues to cause damage and mess to our property at 26A Sunderland Road. This has so far resulted in:- 1. Tree root infestation resulting in blocked and fractured sewer pipes. 2. A cracked uneven driveway and pathway. 3. Ground shrinkage causing a crack along the entire length of the bottom plinth at the front of our house. 4. Ground shrinkage causing a cracked and uneven side path. 5. Ground shrinkage causing misalignment of our side gate. 6. Significant loss of natural daylight. 7. Dry, shrunken and parched lawn and garden. 8. Damage to our vehicles’ paintwork caused from bird droppings, seeds and tree sap. 9. Perpetual mess and residue from the seeds buds and sap. Over the past 4 years the offending tree has been brought to the attention of Lewisham council by various residents on several occasions. However to date, no action whatsoever has been taken to either rectify the problems listed or to manage or reduce the effects in the future. High time this tree was sensibly pruned and properly managed on an ongoing basis.

Dirty Pavement and Litter, 13th January

For some months now, there seems to have been no thorough pavement cleaning happening in Queenswood Road. There's constantly litter lying around, and the pavement is dirty and slippy from leaves rotting leaves and mud (recent excavation works made this worse).
