Tyres dumped, 14th November

There is a huge pile of tyres that has been dumped in the cul-de-sac adjacent to the junction of Crimsworth Road and Thorparch Road. This has been there for several weeks and some tyres have been moved by kids to other areas of the adjacent streets. Lambeth Council has been informed by local residents but no action has been taken. Residents are concerned that there is a severe health and safety risk - if the tyres are set alight (which has occurred with vehicles in this location in the past), serious air pollution would result.

Considerable flytipping around bins, 19th October

The bins have moved to a safer place within the Square but the problem of flytipping hasnt been removed. Today there are a large number of boxes etc;some matresses; and a load of black bags- (probably 10) that have been put beside 3 full and smelly Euro bins.

In the immediate term there need to be more frequent collections of both rubbish and caged vehicles pick up. Also there needs to be enforcement and convictions brought against flytipping individuals. In any event the bin situation must get changed. it cannot be acceptable that these huge ugly eurobins should be allowed to sit within a lovely grade 2 listed square in a conservation zone.
Please can this be made a priority?
Thank you.

Traffic island is in the process of being altered but work seems to have stopped. Cyclists and pedestrians are at risk because right of way is not clear and there is no safe place to cross. This is also the scene of a child / bicycle collision in 2007.

Rubbish and flytipping, 2nd August

Highway obstructed.
Bins falling out of Eurobins. This happens every day. Rats, foxes and mice feeding off problem. Stench in summer. Today - Sunday bins not emptied for 2 or 3 days.
Lambeth Council in breach of their statutory duty and even their duty under their own Conservation Area advice.

Sadly no one seems to care within the area and Lambeth dont give much if you look at earlier postings which remain unresolved?

Stockwell War Memorial Park, 21st June

Due to the number of foreign drunks that congregate in the park daily there is a large amount of rubbish. Even though they do put the rubbish by the bin it is soon too full and goes everywhere.

I suggest cleaning this up more than once per week or removing the offenders.
