There is lots of rubbish accumulating on the embankment down to the canal and also going into the water. The wall/fence on the back alley at the back of the Conservative Club has fallen down allowing people to dump things. There is also lots of unsightly rubbish slowly tumbling into the canal down the embankment behind the kitchen factory. This is all clearly visible from the canal towpath.

Dog fouling on the pavements in Chatterton Drive and Marlowe Drive have increased in the last few weeks. As the fouling is usually in the same areas it would seem to be done by the same dog(s) and left by the same owner(s). The mess usually starts very near the bottom of Chatterton Drive, on the even-numbered houses side, and continues down MarloweAvenue to Southwood drive.

The car wash and garage at the end of Garden St create cars parked on the pavements which, when walking with a pram, means you have to go onto the road to pass the units. The businesses should not be using pavements for car parking

Somebody has left glass, bricks & rubbish at one end of the back alley. Not only is it dangerous but it makes it impossible to get the wheely bin past to put out for collection.

Using Back Alley As A Dog Toilet, 18th July, BB1 4LP

People in the area are allowing their dogs to use the back allies behind our houses as a toilet & not cleaning up after them. This makes it very hard & disgusting when trying to put bins out or collect them as you have to try to find a way around them all (this isn't easy with a full wheely bin). I am also disabled (I have athritis in my hips) which makes this more of a struggle.

Bridleway signs , 27th March, Whiteash lane oswaldtwistle

Hello At the bottom end of Whiteash lane Oswaldtwistle the bridleway signs have been ripped down and thrown in the garden of the very last terrace house on the left hand side. The garden is not attached to the house and has a 6 ft fence around it, if your on foot you would need to gain access to the garden to see the sign. I noticed this when riding on a horse. Thanks

The drain at the end of Rhyddings Street outside Arena hairdressers would appear to be blocked. When it rains, the entire road and pavement go under water as the drain doesnt seem to take the water

Blocked drain white path., 29th January

One of the drains is blocked at the side of the former railway line, now a public footpath, between Rishton and Great Harwood. Its is located on the left, walking to Rishton, just past the Lidgett Bridge (See map). It is linked to a drain on the same line previously reported 12 months ago. It has been reported to HBC by employee Trevor Dean, from Parks dept.

Someone has threw several bin bags in the back alley behind my house 8 Clifton street. They are ripped up rubbish has scattered every where. There was also alot of glass bottles in the bags.

Contractor Has made very poor repair to road, 3rd January, BB5 3ER

There is a very poor repair been made to the road. Contractors who are still doing work on the land at the side of the road had the road up for several days and have made a disgraceful repair to the road which is probably 3 or 4 inches below the road surface. Please can Hyndburn Council get in touch with these contractors and get them to make a proper repair to this section of road at their expense as when you drive over it the car really takes some wear and tear.

A problem that is not going away. Somebody is letting their dog do its business right outside our house. They need to get a fine I think to sort them out, children play here and we are sick of guests we have coming round stepping in it!
