EYRC returning wheelie bins properly, 6th February

On several days in the last few weeks during bin collection, the bin men have just left bins on the pavement after emptying them. With the high wind, several of these bins have been blown onto the road. The binmen should be told to place the bins behind the house boundary walls or fences on windy days in the future to prevent this.

Damaged / collapsed drain cover/manhole, 29th December

On the crossing on fletchergate there is a collapsed manhole/drain cover. As vehicles drive over it there is a loud dense thud noise and my house vibrates from the shudder it causes.

Overflowing Manhole, 26th November

A manhole outside 9 Cleeve Road was overflowing this morning sending sewage and other unsavoury contents flowing down the street. It was reported by local residents to Yorkshire Water this morning but was still spouting at 3:30pm - 4:00pm tonight.

Not only do vehicles mount the footpaths down Kirk Road but now we have the problem of the same occupier failing to maintain his hedge. Pedestrians do not wish to walk on the road and risk their own health and safety especially when idiots use Kirk Road/Rectory Lane as a race track to avoid the traffic lights during rush hour!

Dangerous Footbridge, 30th July

The little footbridge over the drain at the side of the cemetery looks as though it has been vandalised. It is dangerous to walk over as the floor part has been ripped up and there is quite a big gap. Not sure if point marked is correct

No Street Lighting on Dann Court, 20th July

No street lighting on Dann Court now despite numerous appeals to the Council to fix the problem. Emails to the Council go unanswered despite going through the specialist "Report a Broken Streetlight" link on the Council's website. First one light failed... now all of the others have - and the estate is in darkness. Any kind of response from the Council would be nice... Cars on this part of the estate have been stolen from the owners' driveways in the past (and that's when the streetlights were working!) - and having the area in total darkness over night isn't comforting at all. Perhaps this will work where contacting the Council directly has failed!

Dangerous roads, 11th June

The Y junction at Shields Road, Bells Road and Andrew Lane Hedon. Nearly had head on collison with a car which clearly did not give way because there are no give way markings on the road. This is a free for all. After getting over the shock of this then proceeded down Andrew lane on my side of the road, parked cars (always on other side) block views of oncomming traffic and therefore a car driving on the wrong side of the road had to slam on. If I had not been used the the dangerous nature of this road another head on collison would have taken place. Only a matter of time. Council need double yellow road markings and give way markings WHAT IS THE HOLD UP ?????????????????

Cars, vans even lorries speeding through a residential area. With lots of cars and vans parked on the road its an accident waiting to happen. I suggest 'Sleeping Policemen' to slow traffic down !!!!!!!!!

Parked vehicles in turning area, 23rd May

A number of work type vans and cars parked in turning area at end of road which blocks a driveway and also means large vehicles have to reverse back to cromwell road or reverse all the way down risking injuring children who use the play area on the junction (eg ERYCC refuse vehicles reverse the entire length because the area is blocked)

Illegal parking, 23rd May

Any day of the week motorists (including ERYCC LGV vehicles from Magdalen depot) park - illegally - on double yellow lines along the market place blocking the road or narrowing turning for other large vehicles- so they can pop into co-op or use cash machines. there is sufficient parking available - why is this not acted upon now that ERYCC has control of the parking wardens. This happens seven days a week from 7.30am till early evening but is at its worst in the morning from 7am to 9am and saturday mornings.
