New problems to Christchurch Borough Council on FixMyStreet

The following is copied from the Christchurch web site from the 8th Feb. Rats in the car park behind Marks and Spencers and confirms what I reported on the 9th Feb! As I drew close to the recycling skip towards the main entrance to the car park. i heard a rustling noise. There is large pile of undergrowth and leaf matter which seems to have compacted down nicely for a rather large population of rats. Their burrowing holes can be seen quite clearly. Rats nest near the recycling skip in the car park behind Marks and Spencer I understand that with the massive amount of work which has been going on in Druitt Gardens and it's clearing up; there will have been disturbance to those grounds and its rodent population, which will have been undisturbed for goodness knows how long ! I was wondering if there is a programme going to be put in place to get rid of them ?- I wasn't quick enough with my camera to catch the rats darting in and out of the holes, but the photo shows one of their locations. Also as you cross the road from the playground to that car park entrance, you can hear them in the undergrowth as you walk around to Druitt Gardens entrance.

Dog Fouling, 9th February, BH23 1JB

Some thoughtless owner of a large dog is allowing the dog to foul daily on the newly laid Creedy Path. The huge piles are being left for some one else to clear up/push a pram through/ride a bike through etc. We have cleared up these piles daily and doggy binned them to avoid the mess being spread. It's NOT our dog we just can't bear the filth. Can anything be done to catch the culprit?

At 1.49pm today Thursday 9/2/12 I was at the bottom end of the carpark at the back of Marks and Spencers - where it backs on to Druitt Gardens. I was somewhat surprised to see a number of large brown RATS running around and playing in the undergrowth. They didn't seem to be too concerned that I was standing watching them.

Oil bucket dumped, 12th January, BH23 4DQ

A bucket full of used oil has been dumped and left standing against the inner wall by the garages behind the bus stop. Each time it rains this spills over and soils the driveways even further.

Plastic bags on fences and roadsides, 5th January, bh5

I passed the airport today (5 Jan 2012) and was dismayed to see the number of plastic bags hanging off the fences on the side of the road. While I know its been very windy recently it looked like they've been there for a while. Doesn't give visitors to Bournemouth a great impression. Would be nice to have them cleared.

A Nissan Micra Reg No L440 GAA colour Blue out of date tax disc.Also opp in parking area a Green Peugeot BD51 OVP damaged front has also been dumped.These cars have been dumped by the same individual.

Drains blocked bottom end of Wick Lane carpark including some adjacent to hedge by Creedy Path. The overflow water running off the carpark has caused an area of flooding on Creedy Path, water also flowing into the back gardens of Wickfield Ave

Dog Fouling, 23rd July, BH23 4UT

Although recent dog waste bin has been placed along the back of Juniper Drive, some dog owners still fail to pick up. The back today is extremely unpleasant along the walkway and it is obviously the larger dog owners who are failing/refusing to use the bins provided giving dog owners like myself who do pick up after 2 dogs a bad name, please can you police this area.

Dangerous parking,Springwater Drive/Marshlands Close, 20th June

Parking in Springwater Drive and the junction of Marshlands Close sometimes is so dangerous that cars have difficulty negotiating the blind corner at the junction of Springwater Drive and Marshlands Close. Emergency vehicle access is sometimes restricted due to parking both sides. No street cleaning can take place as vehicles are parked here to avoid the 2Riversmeet car park charges. East Dorset Bowls Club and 2 Riversmeet golfers are the culprits as they have been approached by residents about dangerous parking but recieved abuse.

Waste bins in the ladies toilets in Saxon Square are not emptied often enough. They are frequently overflowing in ALL the cubicles and often look as if they haven't been emptied for days.

Bridge Street slipway has become an overgrown mess, with even a large tree branch put behind the wall, for a main street into town this looks rather messy.

Post development o/s No 13, 20th March, BH23 4EZ

Uneven pavement hazard due to heavy lorries and equipment on site. Dry stone wall surrounding tree in middle of road damaged by several lorries from the development.considerable damage on side facing No 13. Also plane tree in middle of turning circle needs topping out and reducing in height. Blocks poor street lighting. With only one of the two properties now sold at No 13 and occupied, with 3 cars cars on site it is a hazard especially at night as cars can only reverse from this development.

Unemptied overflowing bin, 14th September, BH23 1JB

The litter bin by the bench in Druitt Gardens has NOT been emptied for quite a few days now. It is overflowing with litter piled around it. ALSO by the bench at the side of the Druitt Hall a load of old shoes/clothing has been dumped. Neither is a pretty sight!
