New problems to Chester on FixMyStreet

Dog fouling on Elton School Field, 30th June

I have an issue with people walking their dogs on the school field and allowing then to defacate on this field. One side has been fenced off properly, but that leaves the other side wide open to misuse/abuse. My daughter attends Elton primary school and uses the field in the daytime for p.e, how can we expect the children to be safe from dog faeces when people use this field as a communal dog exercise area and DONT pick up after their dogs.

Broadband - BT Lines, 23rd June

This probably not a council issue, but i run a business from home that relies on the internet during business hours and the BT lines for broadband are atrocious. When signing up we were told we could only receive 4MB broadband because we are at the end of the line from the junction box at Helsby. I have recently been testing the speed and receive between 0.3 and 0.4MB. When the line is being used a lot between here and the junction, the connection drops so low it disconnects. I am then left with no internet access for sometimes hours at a time. Contacting BT alone makes no difference and i don't know where to go next as this is something that needs sorting out with the increase in Broadband subscribers.

Overgrown tree, 22nd June

Noise Nusiance, 6th May

Chronic noise nuisance, has gone on since Summer 2007. Teenage boy and friends playing drums and electric guitars accompanied by amplifiers and microphones. Their address is: 10 Glebecroft Avenue, Elton, Chester. Unbearably loud noise. Frequent bad language. Various times of day, both weekdays and weekends. Reported to police twice. Reported to Council numerous times. Parents have taken no action despite our complaints (including in person). We have been verbally abused with accusations on several occasions by people who believe the noise to come from our property. No peace and quiet in our home. Unable to spend time in our own garden when this noise occurs. We also feel we will be unable to sell our property for a fair price as a result of this teenager and his behaviour. It is causing great amounts of stress and we are becoming concerned about impact on our health. The Council always say there is 'no-one available' for us to speak to when we call, and promise to call back. We have NEVER had a callback. Please help us!

Rubbish in canal, 3rd May

Generally lots of rubbish in the canal from Hoole Lane Bridge to Tarvin Road bridge. Needs a clear out, but responsibly, as there are lots of nesting birds at the moment.

This area is provided with new dog faeces every morning! i walk my son to school this way every day and we have to carefully tiptoe over each piece. this is a well used area by children, and is becoming rapidly unuseable.

There is dog faeces all over the pavement as well as broken glass. The current mess has been there for about a week, but mess exists here from months ago, it has been washed/ worn away

Dumped Building Rubbish in Courtyard, 6th March

Following work on houses in Dove Close, Building rubbish including wood paint-cans plaster bricks etc have been dumped in the courtyard this over the last few years. Nothing has been done by the residents to clear this up. It is not only an eyesore but a health hazard. Most normal people when they have rubbish dispose of it sensibly, why not the residents of Dove Close?

Overgrown, 28th February

Plot of land opposite house names Woodvale and Avenlie on marsh lane in Elton has become overgrown and has become an area for some people to fly tip on.This plot of land when fully overgrown, not only looks a mess but it also grows into the road on Marsh lane.I have reported this to my local council, but apparently they do not own it.I was informed that they did no who the owner was , but this person has since moved house.Can you please have someone take a look, as this not only looks unsightly, but if nothing is done people will continue to fly tip on this land.

I so fed up with irresponsible people who do not pick up after their dog. Churton is a beautiful village but being spoilt by this, delightful waking up to this outside my house this morning. not just on new lane but all around the village, when I take my dog I often pick up others as it spoils my walk this is so unfair more should be done to stop the offednders. more fine warnings put up would be a start, we already have 2 dog waste bins, theres no excuse, just ignorant, ill educated moron owners!

Lazy dog owners, 14th December

Owners seem to be allowing their dogs to fowl on the pavements and verges and are not pooping and scooping. We have a dog but we always take a bag out with us why can't others do the same.What is Chester City Councils policy on dog fowling and how can it be implemented in my area. People need to be caught and fined as dog faeces is a danger to young children.

This green belt field is being by travelers as a permanant residence site, they are claiming land by increasing the boundaries on the track side of the field.

Litter from tramps , 23rd July

We live in a set of flats above the estate agents on Lower Bridge Street called Unity Passage. The problem we have is that there is a public throughfare right outside the enterance to our flats leading to the public carpark off of Albion Street. We have always had a group of homeless people that tend to congregate here as it is undercover and apart from the odd beer can they have never caused any problems. However over the last few days we have noticed an increase in the number of people hanging around outside our enterance and there has been a huge increase in litter including broken bottles, cans, food and worst of all used condoms!! I think this is disgusting and highly unhigenic and would appreciate if the council could put this passageway onto it's list of streets to be cleaned as it usually falls to the hairdressers next door to do it, but I do not think it is fair that they are made to clean up items of this nature when it is after all a public throughfare.

red car in The Ridgeway, Tarvin, 13rd June

a red car has been sitting here for months. It is difficult to drive up and down this stretch of the ridgeway with all the parked cars and this car is just causing more of a distruction. I think it has been here since about February or March.
