Dangerous condition of road surface, 12th February

A very large area of the road surface has worn away exposing the water hydrant receptacle, ( I think that is what it is) to such a degree that to drive over it would almost certainly cause damage to tyres, as well as suspensions.Drivers of smaller vehicles are attempting to drive around it, but larger vehicles are unable to do this.

York Street is a residential road - the street itself is only wide enough for 2 cars. People are parking opposite our drive ways which makes it extremely difficult to get out. The turning cirlcle is alos rammed with cars. This only happens during the week - it is commuters and people working in Macclesfield who park here as it is free. It is VERY dangerous trying to enter and leave York Street at the junction with Buxton Road because of this random parking - the yellow lines have faded away at this point. I have complained about this for four years!!!! We need parking regulations such as those that have been instigated at either end of Macclesfield hospital - bays with limited parking so families can still use the park / playground.
