New problems to Chelmsford Borough Council on FixMyStreet

Drainage, 26th May

Since Railway bridge removed in 2007 the drains in the garage block are constantly blocked with heavy rainfalls. Houses 49,51 & 53 have twice had to call out a dyno rod as their houses are almost inaccessible.

Another pothole, 26th May

This pothole is about 4 to 6 inches deep. I can't examinine it very closely, as it's not safe to do so. There's a smaller one next to it.

Broken road, 25th May

The road in longshots close is breaking up due to bad repairs carried out. Tarmac on concrete a bad mix. The council claim they will not fix until the holes are 50mm deep. this needs to be repaired as we bounce from hole to hole ans someone will loose control of a vehicle soon.

Sewerage, 4th May

I'd like to complain about the sewerage smell coming from Brook Edn Sewerage Treatment works you can over the past few days. I'm not sure if this is someting you can assist with. I've reported also to the council

Bent Street Sign, 28th March

The Park Lane street sign has been driven into and is bent to such an extent that the name cannot be read. Probably happened on 26 March

Growing trees will soon make footpath less safe, 24th March

There is a footpath going from Harberd Tye up to Goodwin Close. I frequently have to use it at night to get to Church events in Lucas Avenue. So far I've been very happy that despite poor lighting, the grassy banks have made it easy to see if there is anyone lurking, and so I feel safe to use this path even at night. I see this week that someone (I assume the Council) has done a lot of planting on this bank, including all around the footpath. I don't know what these are but they appear to be bushes or trees. When they grow they will make the footpath much much more dangerous as people walking that way will not be able to see if anyone is lurking. The bushes will provide hiding places for potential attackers.I rely on this footpath at night to get to my Church and I only use it because I can see clearly that I am alone. I don't know how I will manage when it becomes less safe. I realise that these have only just been planted but please move some of them so that the footpath remains clear and safe.

Constant problem with dog mess, 9th December

Constant dog fouling along pavement. Never cleaned up and allowed to remain indefinitely.

Overgrown vegetation, 24th July

People are complaining about the wild growth infringinging on the pavement. It is way overgrown and wild!

Been there at least 3 months,tax ran out end of may,had a yellow sticker on it a month ago,was removed and the car is still there.

Itinerant travellers, 8th June

I hope that you are aware that there are travellers on Admirals park, extremely close to a residential area, Admirals Walk. There is the usual rubbish, tethered dogs and general nuisance to go with the 3 caravans, plus this is a lovely well used open space being ruined. I did speak to the park keeper who seemed to think that they would be gone by wednesday morning but they are still there today, Friday. Also, the gates have been left open so there is the likelyhood that more caravans can turn up unhindered by the landowner. I will of course contact neighbourhood watch, my councillor and my MP.

Nameplate is in wrong place, 13rd May

The street nameplate for East Hanningfield Road is too far into Southend Road. Many people driving along Southend Road think they are in East Hanningfield Road.

Pot Holes, 14th April

Over the past 6 weeks holes have been appearing in the car park at the shops off Havengore.Neighbours have made several phone calls but still nothing,damage to cars will be very soon.

Broken Street Light, 8th March

Street light between 121 and 115 Inchbonnie Road, South Woodham Ferrers is not working- it has a dull red glow at night.

Poor quality pathway, 8th March

The path between the end of Kings Road down to Roxwell road is breaking up and is becoming dangerous to walk on. The path is also poorly lit, which can only contribute to the chance of someone injuring themselves in the near future.

Street Lamp not working, 8th March

a new street lamp was installed over a month ago but hasn't yet been turned on. The old one (which was driven into) is also still waiting to be taken away!

Poor road , 8th March

Hi The Road surface in The Causeway - Gt Baddow is in very poor condition. It's full of Potholes and breaking up.
